May 19, 2006 (Friday) Old and New Sounds from Japan and Korea The 6 members of The Korean Traditional Music Players - Jeong Ga Ak Hoe (Jae Hyun Chun - komungo, Hong Yoo - taegeum, Seung Hee Lee - haegeum, Yoo Jin Sung - kayageum, Hyang Hee Lee - piri and saenghwang, Jae Chun Yang - percussion) from Seoul, Korea will be joined by 4 members of the SF based Wooden Fish Ensemble (Shoko Hikage - koto, Philip Flavin - shamisen, Richard Worn - double bass, Vanessa Ruotolo - cello). Composer Hyo-shin Na will introduce the instruments and comment on the music.
